Archaeologists in Jerusalem unearthed a remarkably well-preserved 2,300-year-old gold ring adorned with a red garnet, likely made for a child’s finger during the early Hellenistic era. The find, made during excavations at the City of David, shed light on the city’s stature and economy at the time. Professor Yuval Gadot emphasized its significance in redefining Jerusalem’s historical narrative. The ring, along with other artifacts, was displayed publicly, offering insights into the ancient city’s past.
