He stated that while he would prefer a more liberated creative environment, the reality is that the CBFC operates under the law of the land. He emphasized that the board’s requirements are non-negotiable, “If the law of the land tells me if you don’t do this, you can’t release your film, I will have to follow the law of the land.”
