Celestial object brighter than Sun discovered

Astronomers have discovered the brightest object ever observed, a quasar named J0529-4351, shining 500 trillion times brighter than the Sun. Fueled by a supermassive black hole, this quasar consumes matter at a rate of one Sun per day. Observed as it was over 12 billion years ago, its discovery, confirmed by the Very Large Telescope, offers new insights into the early universe and the behavior of supermassive black holes, highlighting advancements in astronomical research.
