Italy isn’t just about ancient ruins and stunning architecture, it is also a food lover’s paradise. From pizza and pasta to gelato, there is something to satisfy every craving. Recently, tennis legend Roger Federer treated himself to some authentic Italian cuisine during his visit to Rome, and he did not hold back on tasting the local delicacies. In a series of photos posted on Instagram, Federer was seen enjoying a feast fit for a king. One snapshot showed him enjoying what looks like some cheesy ravioli straight out of a pan. The dish was accompanied by glasses of red wine, along with fresh breads.
In another image, Federer enjoyed a plate of pasta generously topped with cheese. Another slide revealed rows of charcuterie boards filled with an assortment of meat like ham and bacon, and different kinds of cheese. It is safe to say that Roger Federer’s foodie adventure in Rome has left us all craving a taste of Italian bliss.
The 20-time Grand Slam champion also playfully joked in the caption, stating, “Finally won Rome,” referring to his four previous final defeats at the Italian Open.
