Chef Gresham Fernandes has curated a splendid 12-week pop-up inspired by his memories of Bandra as well as his travels around the globe. Located in the space previously occupied by the popular Salt Water Cafe, Bandra Born is one of the season’s hottest openings that you can’t afford to miss. Behind many of the memorably named dishes are stories and references to Bandra culture, bearing Chef Gresham’s signature style. From the menu, we especially loved the melt-in-the-mouth ‘Like Fugias, But Not,’ the flavourful ‘Posh Hearsch Puff’ and the hearty ‘B.A.T.A. Pasta.’ The spirit-forward cocktails, curated by Pankaj Balachandran, are equally captivating. ‘Gresh’s Juice’ (tequila, mezcal, amaro and vermouth) is a bracing concoction we highly recommend.
