PM Modi Follows Sattvic Diet Ahead Of Ram Mandir Consecration

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has undertaken an 11-day ritual ahead of ‘Pran Pratishtha’ (consecraton) ceremony of Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir on January 22, 2024. The ritual follows certain traditions, ensuring purification ahead of the ceremony. As a part of it, Prime Minister Modi is following a Sattvic diet for 11 days, he announced through an audio message, shared on micro-blogging platform X (formerly Twitter).

“Only 11 days left for the consecration of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. It is my honour to witness this pure, historic moment,” he stated in Hindi, in an audio message shared on January 12, 2024. He also mentioed that as a part of the ritual, he will sleep on the floor, perform jaap and meditation, read religious scriptures and eat sattvic food in small quantity.

What Is Sattvic Diet?

According to theyogainstitute.org, sattvic bhojan is a pure vegetarian diet, which includes seasonal fresh fruit, ample of fresh vegetables, whole grain, pulses, sprouts, dried nuts, seeds, honey, fresh herbs, milk and dairy products, which are free from animal rennet. Renowned for their exceptional flavour, these delectable treats formally applied for and were granted a Geographical Indication (GI) designation.

“”It is a matter of great joy not only for all the citizens of Ayodhya but also for Modak Samaj. I want to thank the government for this excellent initiative. This is like icing on the cake, as we are inaugurating Ram Mandir on one hand, and on the other hand, Hanuman Garhi Ladoo has been registered for the GI tag,” tells the makers of Garhi Ladoo, as per ANI.
