Skin Health Benefits Of Eating Cabbage
The nutritionist explains in the caption of her post that cruciferous vegetables like cabbage and cauliflower contain “vitamins A and C, as well as zinc, all of which are necessary for good skin health.” She adds that when we consume cruciferous vegetables, a compound called dim is produced in our body, which helps in “hormonal balance and providing protection against various skin issues.”
If you are into skincare, you must have heard of the glutathione IV (a potent antioxidant) and supplements “which everybody is going gaga over.” The nutritionist adds that you can save money by consuming “sulphur-rich vegetables such as cruciferous vegetables like cabbage, cauliflower and turnip. Then, the L-glutathione level in your body naturally increases by 30%. This will give your skin that natural glow, and fight off acne, pigmentation and fine lines.”
These vegetables are also rich in several other nutrients for skin health, as explained by the nutritionist in the caption. They are rich in lutein, which protects against dryness and wrinkles; contain sulforaphane, which helps protect the skin from sunburn; and also help eliminate free radicals that damage the skin.

Following are the steps to make healthy cabbage rolls with salsa dip, as shared by Leema Mahajan:
1. Boil water, add salt and place cabbage cups. Immerse them in boiling water for 5 minutes. Keep them aside and let them cool.
2. For the sour cream, mix Greek yoghurt, cream cheese, lemon juice and salt.
3. Add chopped tomatoes, bell pepper, carrot, onions, boiled corn, paneer, black pepper and jeera to the sour cream and mix it all well.
4. For the salsa dip, finely chop onion, tomato, garlic cloves, basil leaves and fresh coriander. Add salt, black pepper, oregano, chilli flakes, hot sauce and lemon juice and mix well.
5. Assemble by placing the cabbage cups in a dish, put the sour cream-vegetable filling and wrap it like a roll. Serve with flavourful salsa dip. Enjoy!
