Vlogger Claims Ex-Marriott Chef Takes Cooking To The Streets, Internet Divided

A Chandigarh chef, who reportedly used to work at Marriott, has decided to take his cooking skills to the streets. Yep, you heard it right. Instead of fancy kitchens and posh hotels, he has set up a little dhaba on a sidewalk. FYI: He is not slacking on quality. Of course, the news spread like wildfire. A food vlogger recently paid a visit to the roadside dhaba. The chef was preparing rotis in a tandoor. The vlogger asked him why a former Mariott chef was working as a street-side chef, and you know what the chef said? “Maaza aata hai [It is fun].”

The vlogger then asked what he meant by that, to which the chef replied, “Yaha paise ke saath saath pyaar bhi milta hai [Here, I get not just money, but also love].” Talk about heartwarming, right?

In the video, titled “Marriott Chef Running Dhaba On Streets,” the chef decided to put together a special thali for the day that made viewers want a taste. The thaali included dal makhani with black chana, a serving of matar paneer, and a tasty sabji to round things out. And to top it all off, he added the perfect side dish – some boondi ka raita. He served it all up on a 4-compartment steel plate, along with some rice and rotis served hot.

You can find him near Satya Narayan Mandir, Sector 22-C Chandigarh, for breakfast between 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, for lunch between 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm and for dinner from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm.

People in the comments rushed to praise the chef.

A user wrote, “Salute your hard work with folded hands. Truly the money you showed is not everything.”

Others reacted with heart or fire emojis.

Meanwhile, others are not convinced by his dishes.

A user commented, “Brother, paneer and lentils are just normal like an unskilled person has made it. NO, 5-star touch or feel.”

Another user wrote, “I am sure it does not taste that good because the gravy is too thin even in matar paneer.”
